Email List Reached 100 Today, Kind Of

My eBook has been downloaded 101 times. So why the “Kind of” in the title. Well, 6 people unsubscribed after downloading. My actual email list is at 95.  I reached this milestone in just over one month thanks in most part to Google Adwords. I received a $100 credit for opening a new account through my hosting company, Powweb.

I opened my Aweber account on March 8th. I launched my Ad on March 29th. In these 21 days, I had 8 subscribers. I launched my ad on Google Adwords on March 29th. In the last 21 days, I’ve gotten 93 subscribers.  In the last 2 weeks, I’ve had 342 visits (per Google Analytics). Of this total, 266 were from my Google Ad. Unfortunately, I have exhausted my $100 credit. Right now, I’m learning toward investing $20 – $50 to keep up the traffic and increase the size of my list.

My current focus is now shifting toward creating my eBook for sale. Some things I need to determine:

  • Price of eBook (right now $19)
  • Process to sell book (leaning toward e-junkie)
  • Crafting broadcast email to sell to my list
  • Adding content to site to build trust with list

My six month plan is to finish eBook and hopefully make some sales to cover the costs of Aweber, e-junkie, Adwords, and e-junkie.  I may put the Adwords on hold for a while to try to bring in some revenue. However, I don’t to stop this momentum.

My List is Growing w/ Aweber and Adwords

It’s been a while since my last update. Things are moving along nicely. As discussed in my last post, I finished the eBook and opened an AWeber account. I got my first subscriber on March 12th. Through March 29th, I had 11 people request the eBook. Then my google adwords kicked in.  From March 31th…

    Finished Free eBook

I finished the free eBook on last Wednesday. After finalizing the eBook, I opened an Aweber account to start sending out the eBook and collecting email addresses. It took me about 30 minutes to set up the web form and add it to my site. Then, today after about 15 minutes of digging, I found…
